LeBron & Kyrie Might Be Real Teammates Again?

by admin
NBA All Star Weekend As the NBA Allstar game approaches, one of the biggest narratives this year is that the whole structure of the teams has changed. As we all know by now instead of the regular East vs West format of the game, the NBA has decided to make LeBron and Steph Curry captains who have hand picked their own team. One of the first surprises people noticed is the fact that LeBron picket Kyrie to be on his team. To me, this is a show of strength on the side of LeBron especially since one of the biggest […]

BREAKING: New 2018 Uncle Drew Movie

TIP: “You don’t stop playing because you get old, you get old because you stop playing” – Kyrie Irving might be the flashiest finisher and craftiest player the NBA has ever seen. We know him for his amazing ball handling skills and the ability to get any team 2 points or “a bucket” at the drop of a dime. That’s why he was #2 on the Cavs and is currently Roman Numeral II on the Celtics. But, more importantly… We know him for 2016’s THE SHOT! Well, it seems Mr. Clutch himself is getting his “shot” at the big screen in […]

LaVar Ball Planned to Pull Lonzo From Lakers Weeks Ago

by admin
“Black BallStreet Blog” First, before I go into what LaVar recently said about what he plans to do with Lonzo’s future with the Lakers organization, I’d like to address the category of this post. I’ll go in more depth in another post but I call this whole LaVar Ball-led phenomenon “Black Ballstreet”. I call it that because I see parallels between what LaVar Ball is unfolding by starting his own league to compete with the NCAA and successful black businesses in the 1910’s and 1920’s within small towns emerging to compete internationally with the rest of America. More to come […]

The Wooden Chronicles Pt.1

by admin
The first difference that I noticed after starting to play basketball at the Legendary John Wooden Center is the Wooden Rules. From what I know of those rules by simply playing in the games is that you play to 13 ALL ONES. That means the 3-point line essentially doesn’t mean more points. I didn’t like it at first simply because it was a change from what I was used to at the YMCA and the games took longer if you were waiting but after maybe the first day I appreciated it. I appreciated it because number one, guys shoot too […]

The Lonzo Ball “injury” ?

by admin
Lonzo Ball hasn’t played with the rest of his team since early January. It was around the time Lonzo went down due to a “sprained MCL” that his outspoken father LaVar Ball publicly made disparaging comments about the Lakers coach Luke Walton. He said in so many words that coach Walton is “losing the locker room” and the team essentially doesn’t want to play for him. From the outside looking in, it seems as though this is the straw that broke the President of Basketball Operations back. Since then, Lonzo has been riding the pine and the rest of his […]

Simple Formula For Basketball Hydration

by admin
I can’t begin to tell you how much of a difference it is playing basketball properly hydrated and playing basketball dehydrated. It’s like night and day or more appropriately put, desert and oasis. If I’m playing dehydrated, my throat is extra dry, my mouth is extra dry, its difficult to speak to call out screens and such, my muscles even feel more fatigued quicker and on the verge of cramping. When I’m properly hydrated, my body is like a well oiled machine. I’m actually able to focus better on every nuance of the game because I’m not focused on how […]

The “STAR” Drill

by admin
Most people who want to prove they can shoot, especially when it comes to comparing to what the professionals do, go about it from the complete opposite perspective. By the opposite perspective, I mean they see someone in an NBA game miss an open 3 point shot and say “Why are they in the NBA? Even I could make that shot!” Then they go to the YMCA the next day, go to the 3 point line in a clean dry shirt, swish a shot saying “See! It’s easy, that guys a bum!” They never take into consideration that player that […]
